Manuals and other documents

We make our publications available in both Word and Daisy format. The Daisy books are hybrid books that can be listened to or read with a daisy player, an MP3 player or a web browser. For your daisy player, you should transfer all files from the ZIP archives to the player - if you have a player with a CD drive, simply burn the entire content to CD. For the MP3 player, the MP3 files and the playlist with the ending m3u are sufficient. If you want to read the full text with your Internet browser: open the file "index.html".

This document provides an easy-to-understand introduction to Braille conversion using RTFC. With the help of numerous illustrations, you will be guided "step by step" through the setup of the program and subsequent Braille conversion (30 pages, 20 illustrations).

This document is a reference work for advanced users who professionally create braille books and educational materials. It lists almost all of RTFC's capabilities for translating documents into Braille (75 pages).

The list of contractions for the system of German Braille (according to the decisions of 14 November 2015 in Frankfurt am Main). The list is divided by classes of contractions and is particularly in Daisy format suitable for learning contracted Braille (15 pages).

This document contains information on the implementation of the e-book standard of members of the media centers at schools for the blind on behalf of the Federal Commission for the Review of Teaching and Learning Materials for the education of Blind and Visually Impaired pupils with RTFC (12 pages, 1 figure).
