The Hypertext Wizard is the graphical interface of RTFC. It is
included in the scope of delivery for all software editions.
The wizard allows you to convert your documents in five simple steps, which
are briefly presented on the following pages.
Step 1: Select Source Files
![]()
You can access the wizard directly from File Explorer by selecting a file
and selecting the "Convert with RTFC" menu item in the context
menu (right mouse button).
Step 2: Select Output Format and Target Parameters
![]()
The Hypertext Wizard "memorizes" your settings
on a file-by-file basis and allows you to convert documents that have already
been processed without repeating the following steps.
Step 3: Define the Title and Document Structure
![]()
The structure of the source documents can be optimally taken into account
and converted into individual pages. Cross-references to headings are automatically
resolved if desired and headings are numbered if necessary.
Step 4: Create Hypertext Lists and Index Entries
![]()
Table of contents, glossary and index from the document are substituted
by screen-compatible hypertext lists. The keyword index and glossary, as
well as a local search engine, can be created by RTFC even if the source
documents do not contain any of the corresponding lists.
Step 5: Choose the page layout
![]()
Layout templates enable the implementation of your corporate
design. Predefined templates provide a professional look and feel for your
HTML pages. Virtually all page elements can be customized and saved for
future documents.
Ready!

You can also use the wizard to prepare complex hypertext projects by saving
the command-line parameters for your Makefiles to a configuration
file.
